16. Injured student (Swallowed chemicals, electrical shock, major bleeding, etc.) Take ABC initial action (CPR, airway/breathing, stop bleeding, etc.) Lie down if chemical was not swallowed. keep upright if chemical was swallowed If there are neck or back problems, don't move. elevate neck for head injuries, feet for other injuries. Cover with blanket for warmth. Reassure victim. Keep them calm, tell them what you are doing to help them. Call nurse #6707 or 911 if necessary.
