In the opening scene the Montague and Capulet servants start having a fight and mocking their rivals with the repetition of 'sir' and using sexual in innuendos to keep the Elizabethan audience drawn into the play. After the servants have finished their confrontation their masters show up and Benvolio tries to 'keep the peace' but Tybalt being a catalyst of violence 'hates the word'.
In act 1 scene 3 Juliet's mother calls for her and talks to her and the nurse comes out with a sexual joke again keeping the audience entertained, when lady Capulet was speaking to Juliet she starts asking what she was thinking about getting married to Paris and being in them times Juliet agreed.
Mercutio was invited to the Capulet party at their house and he bought romeo and his friends with masks so Romeo could see someone else that her could love to get away from the thought of Rosaline as hes been moping around writing poems having unrequited love for her, when he sees Juliet all thought of Rosaline disappears and he claims he was never in love until this moment.
In act 2 scene 1, when romeo was about to leave he sneaks into the Capulet mansion to meet Juliet again on her balcony
