Character, Darry and Ponyboy
Sodapop is comforting Pony after Johnny and Dally die because he sees he uncomfortable and broken so he talks to him. He talks to him and explains how it wasn't how fault. This shows how he affects Pony by being their for him and caring for him.
The setting is important to the story because if it wasn't for the setting the entire book would change and the characters would also change because their actions are affected by the setting. Ponyboy is affected by the setting because the setting is the reason he meant all his friends and the gang but also the setting affects his actions throughout the entire story.
This is the scene where everything happens and because of Darry hitting Ponyboy he runs out and to Johnny were later they get jumped and Johnny kills Bob. This shows that Pony has also had a feeling of disagreement with Darry and his voice in the back of his mind nagging him and affecting his behavoir.
