  • Growing Tensions Between the Coloonies and Britain
  • The Quartering Act
  • The Stamp Act
  • Marriage License
  • Britain mad many rules for the Colonies for example the Stamp Act. Britain was causing   Taxation without Representation. Which means taxing something with out people having a vote. Many of this Acts were called the Intolerable Acts                                                                    Carter Cifelli
  • The Boston Massacre
  •  The Quartering Act is called this  because the Colonist had to provide quarters (places to live), food, water and transportation to British Soldiers. The Quartering Act was made to protect the Colonist, how ever Neither the soldiers or the Colonist liked this arrangement.
  • The Boston Tea party
  • Britain taxed printed paper including newspapers, pamphlets, marriage licenses and even decks of cards. Once the Colonist paid the taxes the paper would get stamped indicating that it was paid for.
  • The Intolerable Acts
  • A massacre is when one side cannot defend there self's when the other side has weapons. The Boston Massacre was caused when a angry mob of Colonist gathered around the Tax Collector house. There was only one guard protecting the house at the time. More redcoats came including the captain. The Colonist were now throwing rocks and snowballs at the house. The captain said hold your fire but some shot.
  • When Britain taxed the tea Colonist boarded a ship with lots of tea. That night the Colonist threw 90,000 lbs of tea overboard. Britain said that they could not buy tea from any other tea company but the French and Indian Tea Company.  
  • The Intolerable Acts were so harsh that the Colonist wouldn't accept them. One of this acts were when  Britain closed the Boston Harbor. They closed the harbor because they made Boston pay for all the tea they threw overboard.
