Macbeth and his friend Banquo had traveled through Scotland and meet the three Weird Sisters who promise Macbeth that he will become king.
"All hail Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis! All hail Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor! All hail Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter."
"Despair thy charm, and let the demon whom thou still has served tell thee Macduff was from his mother's womb untimely ripped."
Macbeth is fighting with himself if he should take a dagger to kill the king or not to take his place. If he should follow this illusion that is a dagger that he cannot grab.
"Behold, where stands the usurper's cursed head."
Macduff enters the King Duncan's room and finds him dead. Macbeth acts surprised and kills the drunk guards that were guarding the King's room. Macbeth the appears to be just as devastated as the rest of the King's loyal people.
"This, and what needful else that calls upon us, by grace of Grace, we will perform in measure, time and place."
Macbeth realizes that one of the prophecies told by the Weird Sisters, has come true and that Macduff a man ripped from his mother's womb is able to kill Macbeth once the forest moves.
"Accursed be that tongue that tells me so, for it hath cowed my better part of man! And be these juggling fiends no more believed that played us for a fool."
Macduff and Macbeth begin to sword fight. Macbeth realizes that Macduff has the power to ultimately kill Macbeth. Macbeth doesn't allow that to happen, and ends up being beheaded by Macduff.
Malcom, King Duncan's oldest son becomes King and all the soldiers scream, "HAIL!"
