Yamashita is a fat boy that has no grandmother and he wants to work in a fish store like his dad. Kawabe has glasses, he is sometimes rude, and he allways lies about his dad.

The old man is bald, he didn't care about himself and he allways watched tv. Kiyama's mother allways drinks wine and she never eats well. Kiyama is a tall boy that narrates the story.

Kiyama was with his mother, when he heard a strong wind blowing outside. Kiyama's mother was sleeping and she was not aware of what was happening.
Hurry up Yamashita. Get inside!
Without telling his mom, Kiyama decided to go to the old man's house to make sure he was okay and to see if the seeds were fine in the garden .
The rain stings Kiyama's eyes when he was trying to run. And the wind tries to steal him away.
The old man's garden was a giant puddle, and the cosmos were liying on the ground. The old man was forcing the door open against the wind, and he was gritting his teeth.
