  • GravityIsaac Newton discoveryBy:Mia Santiago
  • I will be doing the Science Methods which are Step 1:State a question or problemStep 2:Form a hypothesisStep 3:Conduct an experiment to test the hypothesis Step 4:Make careful observations and collect dataStep 5:Analyze the data to see if the hypothesis is correct
  • Hmmmmwhy didn't the apple fly off in space but just fall straight down
  • Days later:The only difference is that the moon is far away, but of course the force is weaker there. The force is strong enough to bend the moons motion into a nearly circular path
  • I wonder if the same force that pulled the apple to the ground is the same force that is tugging on the moon.
  • Days later: I  know what it is.The force is called gravity. The law of gravity is a pretty simple formula,it is all physical objects, which had a force of attraction between them
  • The science method has helped me a lot in the discovery of gravity
  • Also, gravity depends on the on the masses of the objects and distance between them. For example the moon and earth tug on each other.
  • Years later:I have published a book about gravity, called Principia. In my book it represents the laws of gravity and the three laws of motion. It provides a physical explanation of what earlier scientists have discovered.
  • I have shown in my book that planet revolve around the sun.Just as the moon travels around the Earth, planets revolve around the sun.
