  • In 1789 France was dead broke after multiple wars with the british. They also spent a small fortune on the revolutionary war with the Americans. also taxes where unfair and the rich people didn't have to pay only the poor people.
  • Stage 4:Storming of the bastille 1789
  • After France loosing a lot of money and being in a crisis they held an estate meeting. during this meeting the 3rd estate tried to negotiate taxes about taxes but both estates did not comply. so the 3rd estate walked out and disbanded.
  • stage 5: The National Assembly governs France
  • After the walk out the 3rd estate met up in the tennis courts and made an an oath. It was that anyone taking this oath in this tennis court shall be loyal and disband from french. They also had an idea of a Declaration of The Rights of Man.

  • On July 14 1789 the Revolutionaries would storm the bastille, a massive fortrus filled with guns and money. 98 people died and 78 wounded the french would lose the Bastille.

  • the Declaration of The Rights of Man was a paper sort of like the declaration of independence. it was published on August 26, 1789. It basically stated that everyone should have equal rights and stuff like that.
