- the rest of you loyal friends stay here while I and my crew take ship and find out who these men are, whether they are cruel, savage and lawless, or good to strangers, and in their hearts fear of the gods
- 1.THE CYCLOPS' CAVE
- 2.POLYPHEMUS RETURNS
- we must take the cheese and leave before he returns
- we must not steal
- Odysseus please, he will kill us
- 3.TRAPPED
- you think I fear the god's!
- WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!!
- AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

- Odysseus and his men we sailing the sea when all of a sudden they saw islands with cyclops' on them and started wondering if they were cruel savages who didn't take kindly to strangers or were they kind people who were hospitable so Odysseus and a few of his men went into one of the caves to investigate
- 4.OFFERING THE CYCLOPS WINE
- the men awed at what they saw in there, tons of fruit, tons of cheese and pales full of milk. Odysseus's men wanted to take some food and supplies and leave before the cyclops returned but Odysseus refused to steal
- 5.BLINDING THE CYCLOPS
- OOOOOOWWWWWW!!!
- when Polyphemus returned he showed no joy towards the men and immediately attacked and ate them even after Odysseus tried to negotiate
- 6.ESCAPE
- why do you leave last you never have?
- oh you must be mourning your masters loss of sight
- Odysseus offered the cyclops some wine and he reluctantly agreed and took a drink and he in fact liked it so much that he wanted more and more he got until eventually the cyclops drank so much wine that he fell asleep due to the drowsiness that the wine caused him but before he fell asleep he asked Odysseus his name so he could be given a gift for the wine so Odysseus said his name was nobody so the cyclops' made the promise that he would eat him last
- then I shall eat nobody last
- what is your name so that I may bestow a gift upon you for the wine
- then I shall eat nobody last
- when the cyclops went to sleep the men constructed a spear out of parts off of the cyclops' club and thrust ed it into his eye blinding the cyclops and when the cyclops ran outside screaming for help from the other cyclops' he said nobody was attacking him and that's just what the other cyclops' thought so they did not come over to help him
- NOBODY IS ATTACKING ME!!!
- the next morning when Polyphemus woke up and let his sheep out Odysseus and his men tied themselves to the bottom of the sheep in order not to be caught by the cyclops who had been feeling the top of the sheep to make sure the men didn't escape and Odysseus and his men were able to escape from the island but the cyclops was very angered with what the men had done so he called to his father Poseidon to cast storms to the men so it would make their journey very tough
