- "We need smoke" this is showing that jack thinking for the group survival by wanting to have a fire for smoke as a signal . The Author is trying to show show us that jack is the group leader and wants to help the group when the group doesn't even recognize it. The readers view of the charter is similar to the author's view because of how Ralph acts.
- Simon
- "We might never get off this island" this is show that piggy doesn't have that much hope. The author view is showing us that piggy feels like the outcast of the group. The readers view is that piggy is the nerd/geek in that group.
- Sam & Eric
- "We need meat" this is showing that jack really want to get meat. The Author shows us that jack really only listens to his mind and no others as shown by how much he argues with people. The reader view of him he is kind of like a mean step brother who likes stuff his way.
- Roger
- "Maybe there is a beast.. Maybe it only us. " this shows that simon is knows that the group will turn violent . The Author view of the character is he is kind of like a buddy to Ralph. The reader view of the character is not fully done yet because changes around alot.
- "Sameric" this show that through the book they are called one person. The Author view of the character is that they think and act the same that is why the other people call them one name The readers view of the character is that they like jack to be the leader.
- "You don't half look a mess" this show that Roger is encouraging jack. The Author's view of the characteris that Roger prefers jack to lead. The readers view of the character is the roger is jack's right hand man and want him to lead.
