  • Y'all better watch out...
  • May 10, 1940
  • You can try as much as you want but we will not surrender.
  • December 7, 1941
  • Adolf Hitler ordered for German forces to bomb Poland. Poland was bombed from land and air. This caused World War ll to begin.
  • December 7, 1941
  • Winston Churchill became the British Prime Minister. The country was inspired by the fact that he refused to surrender to Nazi Germany. Churchill was prime minister 1940-1945 and then from 1951-1955.
  • August 15, 1945
  • (Imagine the mountains as an open field of grass with airplanes in the sky dropping bombs)Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan. The Japanese were hoping that if they bombed Pearl Harbor then that would get the U.S. out of the Pacific because Japan wanted to clear the U.S. of their marine and air force base.
  • September 2, 1945
  • It's official. World War ll has come to an end!
  • The U.S. joined World War ll. The U.S. had been providing the Allies with military supplies before they entered the war. The U.S. entered World War ll due to the attack on Pearl Harbor.
  • Here we go ...
  • This day is called V-J Day (Victory over Japan Day). It was called this because this was the day that Japan surrendered but they had to wait for the U.S. General to approve it.
  • It's time to surrender ...
  • Japan formally surrendered this day. U.S. General Douglas MacArthur accepted Japan's formal surrender abroad in Tokyo Bay. World War ll was over. A conference was held in Germany to set up peace treaties.
