Plymouth relied on fishing and timber due to the lack of being able to grow crops. They also invested into whaling oil, which was another part of their economic practices.
Thanksgiving, one of the many things that this wonderful Colony has brought to life, Thanksgiving was a massive celebration that resulted after the massive harvest in the New World.
We are now able to study different religions and may study them as well. Now we have religious freedom over here in Plymouth and may follow the path of God we wish to.
Plymouth is on more of a rocky terrain and geographically doesn't allow us easy access to growing crops, this is why we have found success in fishing, timber, and whaling oil.
The colonists of Plymouth went through a very harsh winter and many had to fight for their lives due to the lack of food, which was caused by the harsh winter. I believe that Plymouth was successful because they learnt how to fish and gather wood to build upon the settlement/ They used whaling oil to preserve the fish for later dates to eat, ensuring that they had enough food to prosper whilst continuing to work. Though Plymouth didn't experience as many hardships as Jamestown, both became successful colonies.
