Storyboard Text

  • The Boston Massacre was when colonists gathered around a few redcoats, throwing stuff and yelling at them, and all of a sudden, the soldiers fired, killing five people.
  • The Tea Act was a tax on tea, a drink which almost every colonist loved. They were very angry, boycotting and smuggling. The biggest thing that happened was the Boston Tea Party.
  • The Boston Tea Party was the event where colonists snuck aboard ships carrying tea from Britain, and threw about 340 crates of tea overboard.
  • The Townshend Acts were punishments for the Boston Tea Party. The BostonPort Act, the Administration of Justice Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Quartering Act of 1774, and the Quebec Act.
  • The First Continental Congress was made up of several representatives from the colonies to discuss what to do about all the Acts, and whether to finally take action.
  • In these tough times, many people are protesting as well, like in Detriot, many protests started up due to the place being heavily affected by Covid, so they are opposing the idea of reopening schools. Many people don't have basic rights any more due to this disease. Like the colonists being taxed without a say, the elderly and people with preexisting health conditions are being treated like they don't exist. Care homes are abandoned, patients bodies are left, nobody giving a second look. People are avoiding them.
