One day, two different populations consisting of snakes and chicks ran into each other while looking for food.
Although both biotic species were consumers, one didn't eat consumers, making them afraid and running away
The chicks got away for now, and found the food they were looking for. The chicks are herbivores, so they eat any producers that suit their diet. Of course, producers have to make their own food as well by using photosynthesis.
The chickens ate all of the vegetation that was there. They were looking for big areas of not, not anything specifically as they are generalists.
The snakes finally caught back up with the snakes. Being the carnivores they are, they were ready to have a meal.
The snakes ate the chicks which had eaten the grass, resulting in the energy moving from one organism to the next.
