Your son, Siddhartha will either be a stong religious leader or a great king.
He must be king!
Make way for prince!
Out of king's way you foolish people!
I must seek the truth...
Siddartha Gautama was born in modern day Nepal at around 503 B.C. Soon after he was born, he was taken to a fortune teller and was told he would either be a strong religious leader or a king. His parents wanted him to become a strong, efficient king.
Siddhartha was often protected and was banished from being near poor and sick people. He acted very wealthy and only accepted wealth in his life.
At the age of 29, Siddhartha rode out of his palace on a chariot and saw people crying from their lost family member. This made Siddhartha understand the lies he was told.
One day when Siddhartha set off on a chariot he saw various actions of pain and the amount of non wealthy citizens made him set out into the forest to seek the truth.
Siddhartha soon was abandoned by one group of monks once he had fainted from their untruthful paths to help him find the truth and later reached a tree which where he meditated for 49 days to seek the truth. After the long period of 49 days, he found the truth of the of the cycle of death, birth, and rebirth and soon reached enlightenment.
Finally, Siddhartha continued his journey by teaching others the way of how he reached his path of enlightenment and taught them the truth unlike Siddhartha's parents did to him and formed the religion Buddhism as he was known as a Buddha.
