  • Cells are able to control genes by turning genes on and off.
  • Everyone in my class is different from one another, and in science class, we have to find out why!
  • The mutation can be a change in the order of bases, number of bases, or types of bases.
  • Each chromosome has many different genes lined up one after the other along the chromosome.
  • Proteins make up the skin, hair, and cells of the organism.
  • Every single person looks and acts different. But we're all humans so shouldn't we all be the same? What causes our differences?
  • The answer is because we all have unique DNA cells. We all have different DNA because we make different proteins.
  • Another reason is that we all have different genes. Genes are what controls our traits (eye color, height, etc.). Genes are required to do basically everything.
