Martin Luther is in a thunderstorm and is crying and calling on St. Anne to save him from being killed by the lightning that has knocked him down to the ground. The way that he tries to persuade her to save him is by saying that he will be a monk for the rest of his life and he survived.
Here are the 95 theses
During Martin Luther's religious trip to Rome he saw how lavishly the pope was living and how extravagant the people around him were living. This caused him to think about how corrupt the church was and how it had been straying away from the old ways. He also didn't like the sale of indulgences.
With this Papal Bull I will put a stop to Luther's lies!
In Martins anger and disgust he decided to write the "95 Theses" which was a paper saying things about how the sale of indulgences was not correct and how the church was corrupt. This paper soon became massively produced and sold.
I will not recant!
After the 95 these were pinned to the door many print shops decided that they believe in the ad they decided to mass print them and give them out or sell them to people giving them Luther's ideas.
When word of the 95 Theses came to the pope he was furious and decided to issue a papal bull that states that if someone were to talk or write about Luther's writing then they would be considered a heretic.
After Luther learned about the papal bull he decided to grab all of the ones issued in his area and burn them. When the pope was told that Luther burned them he called Luther in to recant.
