Like What You See?

ugh there is so much pollutionin the water:(
And all of the lobster traps that we have brought up are empty.
I wonder were all the lobsters are?
If you live in or around CT or NYC you are most likely living in a water shed that eventually leads to long island sound, and people who live within 50 miles of the coast heavily effect the sound.
I'll go get a scuba suit and take a look under water.
That means the things you pour down the drain, the things you use on your lawn and even the things you through away can end up in the sound.
oh no there is only one lobster down here
This effects all the animals that live in the sound. In the comic above the 2 characters are lobster men but when they pulled up their traps today all of them were empty.
I wonder were all the other ones went?
In the 1990's the sound produced around 4 million pounds of lobsters a a year. By 2014 that number had dropped to 135 thousand.
Pesticides are one of the biggest problems for lobsters, along with heavy metals that rot away the lobsters outer shell.
In the next few panels you will be learning different things you can do to protect the sound.
Over 14 Million
