- Battle of PlasseyThe Battle of Plassey was a decisive event that took place on 23rd June 1757. The battle was fought at Palashi on the banks of the River Hoogly. It was fought by the British East India company against the Nawab of Bengal (Siraj-ud-Daulah) and his French allies.
- The Battle of Buxar was fought on 22 October 1764 between the forces under the command of t`he British East India Company, led by Hector Munro, and the combined armies of Mir Qasim, Nawab of Bengal till 1763; the Nawab of Awadh; and the Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II.
