  • Bombardment of Fort McHenry-The British attack the Americans fort all night.
  • I will lead.
  • Francis Scott Key-He wrote the national anthem for the US.
  • We come here to trade.
  • Battle of New Orleans-The Americans struggled but they held off the British and Andrew Jackson had become the new hero.
  • War ends in 1814-The US gained respect from other countries, leaders raised up to lead, there were boosts in the economy and there was a new sense of nationalism and patriotism among U.S. citizens.
  • The Americans gained respect and had more allies since the economy had boosted and they got more money.
