  • After a long time of fighting in 1798 the Rebels and the French defeated Spain and Britain. Later on the Constitution o 1801 was created and stated that there could not be any slaves in Haiti territory, All men in Haiti are born/die/free French. Each farmer and worker of a family has to share the profits that they made. He also made himself governor for the rest of his life.
