  • Daily Life in the Roman Empire
  • Not for all of us! what's so great about your life?
  • Life's great in the Roman empire!
  • Rome is an amazing place, if you have money... For example:
  • Housing
  • That's easy for you to say. We have to live in places with disease carrying rats and continuous fire hazards!
  • Our houses have a kitchen with a villa and a place where we can host our parties.
  • Education
  • That's great... we have to go to work to learn the trades such as leather working and metal working to gain money for our families.
  • We would get taught until 6 and then we would go to school in Public buildings and/or in private buildings,
  • Daily Life in the Roman Empire
  • Food/Drink
  • Well, we get to eat mice cooked in honey, snail in milk, salted jellyfish, and roasted parrots.
  • If you where a rich roman, you had a nice house with a kitchen with a villa and a place where they could host their parties. If you were poor, you had to live in a apartment, which was crowded, and had continuous fire hazards with disease carrying rats.
  • Law and Order
  • If you were a rich Roman, you would get tutored by slaves, sometimes fathers until the age 6. Then they would go to school, which was either public or in private homes. If you were poor, you had to work in the trades to get money for the fam.
  • end.
  • Yup! We have to get used to the customs and behaviors of the people who live where each of us live
  • The poor Romans usually ate chunks of fish, asparagus, and fig. The poor would cook on small grills and get fast food from the Thermopolia. The richer Romans ate mice cooked in honey, snail in milk, salted jellyfish, and roasted parrots.
  • All we have to eat is chunks of fish, asparagus, fig, fast food and cook our food on the grill.
  • All Romans believe in the Rule of Law, and the senate is the highest in society. Roman police would often watch over the wealthier areas for crime but rarely the poorer ares of the city. All Romans could accuse each other of a crime, but when punished the Poorer roman got beaten more than the richer and sometimes even tortured.
  • Well... we have to be beaten and sometimes tortured, and we don't have police patrolling our streets to keep us safe...
  • We don't have to get a serious punishment as you do and are neighborhoods are patrolled to be kept safe!
  • end.
  • Well I guess we just do as the Romans do.
