Since 1933 in Germany, there was a political party known as the Nazi.
The Nazi had a leader named Adolf Hitler.
Hitler was born in Austria, and went to Vienna to study arts. He ended up becoming a teacher, and it was in Vienna that he got the ideals that he carried throughout the rest of his life. These ideas were put to action after he went back to Germany and became the Nazi's leader
The Nazi and their leader were anti-Semitic and authoritarian which is how they transformed Germany into a dictatorship.
On Nov. 1923, Hitler took the Nazi to take over southern Germany in what became known as Beer Hall Putsch. They were captured and sent to jail.
In jail Hitler wrote his first book: Mein Kampf in which he describes his ideas, and why Jews did not deserve to be in Germany and why his country would be better off without the Jewish population.
