Yes! now they do not hunt and gather, because farming gives them a reliable food sourse.
Thanks to humans discovering farming they started domesticating us goats for food.
They now trade with neighboring villages because the other villages have resource that they do not have, but they want. Because they settled down they can only use what is in their area . Unless they trade.
With this surplus of food they could explore and invent new jobs, crafts and technology. They could do this because they were not always hunting and gathering.
They could master pottery, mining, house building. They would invent things like music, weaving and much more , just because of farming .
Because they did not have to hunt all the time they continued to invent new things like new building techniques. They found out how to make plaster , which was the first artificial building material.
Before they started farming they lived in small bands of 30 to 60 people and their houses were not permanent houses. Now they are permanent because they do not have to move with their food.
But living so close to us animals created new hygiene problems and new diseases. Since they were living close to each other and were not moving the diseases easily spread.
So the change from hunter gatherer to farming had its pros and cons. The people in the villages invented new things that we still use today, but it also meant that new diseases were spreading. They learned how to domesticate animals, new building ideas. But in the end it would lead to a deforestation and a huge climate change but we used and for me eat all of the resources.
