To begin with, the graphic novel will be addressing the topic about childhood and why it is important to enjoy the time one has as a child without any worries, which one must deal with later on in life. Childhood is the state in which a person is a child, usually considered to be from the span of birth to adolescence. As a child, kids are expected to have their parent’s complete support on everything and always rely on them for everything. This topic will address this by talking about how at the age of 7, my older sister, younger sister, and I had to learn how to live life without the only parent we were close to and in fact lived with, after she decided to leave and we had to move in with our fathers. After my mother moved, we didn’t depend on my parents’ support as much, now at our age, my older sister and I only look for my dad’s approval, it’s nice to have his approval, but we don’t always need it. After my mother left, we began to feel as if we didn’t really need to contact her when it came to big news or decisions because she didn’t really communicate with us, nor did we reach out to her. We had to grow up and be less childish at a young age in order for us to communicate with my father’s wife and be able to take care of one another, without having as many disagreements. One grows out of their childhood once a life changing event occurs, usually losses, whether it’s a loss by someone being removed from their life or a death loss. Childhood ends when the arguments and talking back begins to occur with whoever you use to respect. Childhood ends when you cry to sleep and even wonder whether you did something wrong or ever blame yourself, when the worries begin to kick in, and the sleepless nights begin to occur, so enjoy your childhood because it’s like a gold key to one door that you’ll only receive once.
