  • hurry up, we need to go view the solar eclipes.
  • what is a solar eclipes?
  • it is when the moon lines up with the sun ad earth. becaus ethe sun is 400 times bigger, it is also 400 times further a way causing the moon to block it. in a total solar eclipes the sun is completly blocked revieling its corona
  • wait! then whats a lunar eclipes? Isn't that the same thing?
  • really? how
  • actually, a solar eclipes is a little bit different
  • during a lunar eclipes Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned, with Earth between the other two. this will cause the mon to look red.
  • then why do we not have a eclipes every month? during a whole moon?
  • because the moon's tilt make solar and winter eclipses rare.
  • during a solar eclipes, the moon is a new moon and during a SOLAR eclipes you have to were eye protection because the suns brightness can harm your eyes
  • and all types of eclipeses are beutifull
