  • One action that Babur implemented that had a significant impact was disliking people of other religions and taxing them more money. This had a negative effect on the empire and non-Muslims did not like him. Babur treated the people of different religions rudely and made Hindus ask him permission before they built more Hindu temples.
  • During Babur’s rule, Hindu’s disliked him because he had no tolerance for Hindu’s or non-Muslim and treated them badly.
  • Get out of my way you Hindu!
  • Babur also taxed non-Muslims more money than Muslims which was unfair...especially since that started the idea of Muslims thinking they were better than everyone.
  • You pay $850 because you are Hindu.
  • Babur also made decisions for Hindu people and said that they must ask him for permission before building a temple. This was unfair because they weren't allowed to make decisions about their religion and Babur did not like them.

  • On December 26, 1530, Babur died from an unknown illness and the empire began to fall. Different countries and religions in India began to fight one another and start wars.
  • Even after his death, Hindu’s disliked Babur and burned some buildings that he had built.
