George Washington Impacting the creation of the Constitution
No, the small states do not deserve to have a vote!
One of the biggest problems of the confederation was financial problems. Money was one of things that brought people either down or up in the revolution. After the revolution the United states owed million of dollars to individuals and foreign nations.
The Great Compromise
Fine, all states will get ONE vote!
Yes they do, they should at least get one!!
Another big problem was conflict between states. Disputes just kept rising among states and caused more big fights/scuffles. The Articles of Confederation did not give much power to help reslove the conflict causes among states.
Roman Republic helping the US
Thank you Rome!! we look up to you.
United State ruler
Of course! We are glad to help you with the constitution!
George Washington was one of the most important person during the Constitution. He led the colonial forces to take over and win the battle against Britain and took the victory! He became a hero to the armies! He was so important to everyone that he was elected to be a president of the convention. Two years later he became the first Untied states president.
The Three-Fifths Compromise
All the slaves population will count as 3/5 of the representatives! Thank you for compromising!!
The Great Compromise was when Roger Sherman convinced both large and small states to be able to share their thoughts and then the most popular vote would be elected. The people who lived in the small states, were more happier because they weren't noticed as much as the larger states. They now count Roger as a hero for saving their thoughts and opinion's.
Yes, I agree with Roger!
Yeah, please we should get a vote!
Rome helped with the constitution a lot. The patricians helped give a say on certain thoughts or events. The highest position in the government are the leaders of course which ruled the Roman republic. That is so important because, Rome created a republic and shortly after the US government based their republic on Rome's model. Which helped with the Constitution because of the representatives giving their thoughts on everything.
You are welcome United States!
The Three-Fifths compromise was one of the most life changing agreements toward the states. The southern states wanted slaves to be able to count even if they don't vote. But the Northern states do not want the slaves to vote or be counted. Finally after a bit of arguing both large and small states decided that the population of the slaves would be counted 3/5 of the representatives as well as Presidential electors and taxes.
