Monarchy is when a person marries or is born into royalty (typically). A monarch is the head of state, is in charge and has power until death or abdication monarchy.
Democracy is when the population of the country vote for a president and laws. The president can only be president/ priminister for a certain amount of time. They need the majority of the population to pass laws and be put in ofice. Examples- USA, Canada, New Zealand
