U.S. Demands from Spanish
The U.S.S. was gaurding a port in Cuba. The ship blew up and sank killing 250 Americans. Everyone in the U.S. blamed this on the Spanish as an excuse to get into the war.

The U.S. had a list of demands for the Spanish. The demands were no reconstruction camps, and Cuban INdependence. Spain did not accept the Cuban independence.
