Storyboard Text

  • I have access to a free education where I can go to school everyday and learn.
  • For many, the American Dream is the chance at an ideal life, with access to education for children and a good quality of life. It also symbolizes the success in one's career that can be achieved in America.
  • This is the platform to the rest of my life and career. In America, I can have a new and fulfilling life.
  • Gatsby's idealized American Dream was a life where he and Daisy could be in love and be together. The rest of his life would be whatever Daisy desired, as she was the focal point of his American Dream and the reason for his lavishness.
  • I love you Gatsby and I promise to be with you for the rest of our lives.
  • Daisy, I will love you until my very last breath.
  • Gatsby's murder is symbolistic of the corruption of his American Dream because all of his hard work has now gone to waste. Daisy was driving the car and killed Myrtle, but Gatsby ended up being killed for it, because Tom was angry at Gatsby for his involvement with Daisy. Gatsby died before he could achieve his American Dream of a happy life with Daisy.
  • OH MY!
