First and Second Estate
John Locke had enlightenment ideas where people have the rights to.....
Because of John Locke and the Enlightenment Thinkers ideas, it unleashed many revolutionary wars that weren't/couldn't have been predicted.
France society was divided into 3 big groups the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Estate. The 1st was clergy, the 2nd was the nobles, and the 3rd was everyone else. They each payed different taxes but the 3rd Estate would pay the most taxes and the kings taxes.
King Louis XVI lived an extravagant lifestyle and cared less about the people in France.
The people of France mistrusted King Louis XVI and Queen Marie-Antoinette. A rumor was going around that the Queen had been hiding grain in the castle. Later on, they were France passed decree whee they are no more abolished by royalty. Four months later, they were both executed.
The Bastille was a prison. But the people of France thought it was a a abuse use of power so they took over it.
