  • TARPEIA'S BETRAYAL The story of Tarpeia's greedy betrayal of Rome
  • Got it, I promise not to tell anyone about the secret door.
  • Tarpeia, we are trusting you to go out of the city to get water, and whatever you do don't tell anyone about the secret door so we do not get attacked.
  • Look there is a Roman woman. Let's see if she will tell us where the secret door is so we can attack Rome.
  • No! Wait! Are those gold bracelets on your left arms? I'll tell you where the secret entrances for what is on your left arms.
  • Hey Lady! Tell us where the secret entrance to Rome is!
  • Tarepia, after hearing her instructions, leaves Rome through the secret door.
  • DEAL!
  • Follow me!
  • A few men from the Sabine tribe, an enemy tribe of Rome, spot Tarpeia and decide to go talk to her.
  • Our shields are on our left arms too!
  • No! Why did I betray Rome!
  • Tarpeia originally declines the Sabine soldiers, but betrays Rome because she wants the gold bracelets, which are on the soldiers' left arms.
  • All who betray Rome like Tarpeia did will be thrown off this cliff.
  • Tarpeia greedily agrees to take the Sabine soldiers to the secret entrance.
  • Tarpeia gets killed by the Sabine soldiers, and the Sabines go to fight the Romans
  • The Roman soldiers, after defeating the Sabines decide to create the Tarpeian rock to execute traitors of Rome.
