- I was wondering if I could have one of your hoodies??
- Yes! Although you have to bring it back to me because I don't want you to keep it. I want you to bring it back this weekend ,please.
- Consent is something you are agreeing to or you giving your permission. It is important so when you are interacting with someone are about to do something both people have clear answers and there is no miscommunication happening.
- I: Informed
- Okay great can I have it now?
- Yeah I can get the one I want you to have,
- Kadesh is clearly not asking while her friend is intoxicated or unable to think for themselves.
- E: Enthusiastic
- Donquavious has chosen to say yes you can always say no in a respectful manner. His response was also spoken with confidence so Kadesh knows what he really means.
- S: Specific
- Here you!
- Kadesh was listening to Donquavious the whole time and knows what he meant and said and she will remember that and respect his request.
- Donquavious has clearly agreed to Kadesh that she can have one of his hoodies but return it to her this weekend because he does not want her keeping it.
- Thanks so much! Ill give it back to you this weekend.
- Donquavious has only agreed to her having the hoodie until this weekend, nothing else. Kadesh can not keep it longer or give it to anyone else, she does not have Donquavious's consent to that because she clearly did not ask.
