Christina Lobbin Eutrophication
This storyboard does not have a description.
Animal waste, fertilizers, and other chemicals and nutrients get mixed onto the ground.
When it rains, some of the wastes, fertilizers, and chemicals get mixed into streams and rivers that lead to lakes.
These things and other things such as phosphates cause more growth of algae and SAV.
The algae takes over the top, blocking the sunlight, and kills all SAV underneath. Decomposers and bacteria break down the dead SAV, taking all of the oxygen thus creating a dead zone.
