  • Meg Murray - The book's protagonist, Charles Wallace Murray  - Meg's extraordinarily intelligent five-year-old younger brother who is capable of reading minds Calvin O'Keefe - A popular boy and talented athlete in Meg's high school who accompanies the Murray children on their adventure.
  • Tone and mood: it was kind of scary, dangerous and adventurous all at the same time.
  • Theme: Knowledge is power because to know about something extraordinary takes power
  • I decided to read this book because I had watched the movie and the movie was great so I decided to read the book, I had no connections to the book other than that my dad has gone on a long trip before
  • Meg and Charles Wallace Murray liver with their mother after their father disappeared while conducting a science experiment many years before.  The Wallace kids and Calvin O'Keefe meet three women: Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which and Mrs. Whats it.  These women start the quest to save Meg and Charles' father and to save the world from IT.  IT is an evil being that is described in the book as a black brain.  In the end, Meg, Charles and Calvin travel to Camazotz. They find Mr. Murray and you' ll have to read the rest of the book to find out save the world and bring Mr. Murray home!
  • The author's purpose was to entertain because she can't persuade of inform anyone.
  • I would rate this book a 5/5 stars because it had the right amount of action and excitement. I would recommend this book to people who like fantasy genre.
