The French and Indian war was a war faught between the French, Natives, and British for land. At first, there was a series of British defeats. The British finally get the lead and finish the war in 1763, during the battle of Quebec, defeating French.

The Quatering Act was a law passed by Parliament to colonists in 1765. This law forced colonist to feed and house British soldiers. There was a mixed reaction by colonists of this. Some welcomed soldiers into their home like in Pennsylvania, and some refused to welcome soldiers into their homes like here in New York.

The Declaration of Independence was created on July 4, 1776, and adopted and signed by members of the Continental Congress. This document marked America's independence and freedom from the British. This led into the creation of 13 independent states and a new nation.
The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first Battle of the American Revolution. British were walking towards Lexington to get supplies that were being stored in Concord. Minutemen came to Lexington and defeated the British.
The Battle of Trenton was the turning point of the americn Revolution. The Continental army planned a sneak attack on Hessians the day after christmas. No one thought Washington could do this. This is what made the attack so great.
This was the final battle of the American Revolution. Americans defeated the British on the fields of Yorktown, Virginia. It led to the surrender of the British and the Americans winning the American Revolution.
