  • The legislative branch is made up of the two houses of Congress—the Senate and the House of Representatives. The most important duty of the legislative branch is to make laws. 
  • In May of 1787 delegates from the 13 colonies met in Philadelphia

  • The Articles of Confederation are simply not working
  • Im not sure all will agree, but we can compromise 
  • There is no central goverment and we needs a checks and balance with seperation of powers.

  • How does each Branch check each other?
  • I am the President and I am in the Executive Branch in charge of making sure that the laws of the United States are obeyed.
  •  The judicial branch (Supreme Court) interprets the meaning of laws, applies laws to individual cases, and decides if laws violate the Constitution.
