Doctor John Logan Campbell was a very successful land owner in the time of 1864, he owned plot 189.
The first people to buy land in browns bay were the Stafford family. But then later they sold it to Mrs Hammond
Peter Brown bought 136 acres of land from Mrs Hammond in 1876 it was
Around the 1900 Browns Bay had no school so they started a part time one. it had to have at least 10 students attending it to keep it open.
In the late 1950 the harbour bridge was finally built, it connected the city of Auckland and the north shore together.
since the harbour bridge was built most holiday makers came to auckland.
