  • Doctor John Logan Campbell was a very successful land owner in the time of 1864, he owned plot 189.
  • The first people to buy land in browns bay were the Stafford family. But then later they sold it to Mrs Hammond
  • Peter Brown bought 136 acres of land from Mrs Hammond in 1876 it was 
  • Around the 1900 Browns Bay had no school so they started a part time one. it had to have at least 10 students attending it to keep it open.
  • In the late 1950 the harbour bridge was finally built, it connected the city of Auckland and the north shore together.
  • since the harbour bridge was built most holiday makers came to auckland.
