  • The Most Dangerous Game
  • WAIT!
  • Trait one: intelligence
  • Now that I've finally made it to land, I need to find where that gunshot was from. Bec- ause where there's people, there's food.
  • Trait two: common sense
  • I will take NO part in these murders!
  • Rainsford is a young, athletic, big game hunter who is heading to Rio de janiero to hunt jaguars. but when he hears a noise off into the distance and leans over the yacht to figure out what it is. But he leans to far over, with it being late at night and no one awake, the yacht leaves Rainsford stranded at sea.
  • Common sense continued
  • After hours of swimming he finally reaches a cliff. He climbs it until he reaches the top. After waking up from a deep sleep, he decides to find the person/ people who are here in hopes of finding food. This shows intelligence by Rainsford immediatley deciding he needs food and to find human life that can help keep him alive.
  • Trait three: cleverness
  • In this scene General Zaroff has just informed Rainsford of what he does on this island and wishes Rainsford to go hunting with him next time. Instead of saying yes Rainsford used his common sense to realize that what Zaroff was doing is murder and that he'll take no part in it.
  • Cleverness continued
  • On Rainsford's first night in the jungle he decides to slepp in a tree,  This is showing common sense because if he had slept on the ground the Zaroff would easily find him, but climbed hi into a tree where Zaroff couldn't see him and got rest.
  • Rainsford demonstrates that he's clever in many ways, In this scene Rainsford recalls learning a trap and with only using a knife and the resources around him, he successfully makes it and kills one of the people who are after him.
  • In this scene Rainsford is being chased by Zaroff and his hounds, after running to the edge of the island where all that's in front of him is a cliff that goes straight into the ocean. He knows that Zaroff is close so he jumps. When Zaroff reaches the cliff he thinks that Rainsford jumped and died. This shows that Rainsford is clever because he understood that jumping was not only the best option but a good way to make Zaroff think he was dead.
