  • King James was a Protestant who argued with catholics. He wanted England to be a protestant country not a catholic country. At this time Catholics were eliagle .King James wanted the bible and the holy books all to be written in English.
  • Robert Catesby and three other men came up with a plan to blow up the Houses of Parliament and kill the king. It had to be on the 5th of November ( because that was the day the King was visiting ). The four men didn't know how to use gunpowder so they had to find a specialist...
  • Robert and his men found a man...Guy Fawkes he was a gun powder specialist who also wanted to kill the King. Guy told them you will need at least 20 barrels of gun powder to blow the Houses of Parliament up. Guy, Robert and his three men all worked together until they were ready 
  • could you please help us blow up the houses of Parliament 
  • Guy fawkes placed the 20 barrels in the cellar of the Houses of Parliament. Unfortunately, a unknown man who was in on the plot,  told three other people. But one of the three people ( who was friends with the King ) wrote a letter telling him something bad was going happen. 
  • .The King told the soldiers to search every single room in the Houses of Parliament to see if they find anything  suspicious. After hours of searching, they went into the houses around the houses of parliament and found a  cellar and found... Guy ready to light the gun powder. 
  • Go search the whole castle upside down and inside out ....... GO  
  • Guy Fawkes told the guards who was also in on  the plot . But unfortunate for Guy, he was hung and so were all of his plot mates. There heads were displayed on Traitors Gate to show if anybody was to harm he King this would happen to them.
