  •  The Articles of Confederation was a document written by the thirteen member committee and agreed upon by the Second Continental congress. It was a constitution stating how our government would be run. The Articles gave the individual states more power than the central government had.
  •  The 1787 Constitutional Convention took place in Philadelphia in order to revise the Articles of Confederation. Thanks to Shays’s Rebellion, the federal government  realized the weaknesses in the government and wanted a change. The central government needed more federal power in order to help keep the states in order.
  • We just fought in war!!
  • NO one is going to debtors prison!
  • No tax for farmers!
