  • Hi! Welcome to our school. Today we are learning about elements, compounds, and molecules.
  • Does anyone know what an element is? And what about some examples of an element.
  • I know! An element is a pure substance that is composed of a single type of atom.
  • Examples of elements are, H which is hydrogen or O which is oxygen
  • I have a question, what is a compound?

  • Also what are some examples.
  • Look at this! This is a molecule. A molecule is a group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. Does anyone have any examples of that.
  • Me!! An example of a molecule as an element is O2 which is oxygen.
  • And as a compound it is CO2 which is Carbon dioxide.
  • BYE!!
