- Marji's Life

- Marji decides to skip class because she feels that her friends will look at her as if she is a chicken, if she doesn't skip with them. This event impacts Marji's life because it indicates to the reader that Marji is starting to feel as if she is grown and starts to rebel against rules. If Marji had decided to not skip with her friends it would have affected when she started her rebellious stage.

- Marji heard people talking about her because she is Iranian and she feels even more proud to be Iranian , this impacts Marji's life because she feels more proud to be Iranian and she is starts to accept who she is. If this event didnt happen Marji wouldn't have understood her grandmothers message which was "If you aren't comfortable with your self, you will never be comfortable.
- My Life
- The rules weren't fair and didn't allow parties and one of her friends where killed by the "bearded men" or soldiers partying. To fight against this Marji and her friends party to fight for what they believe in .This event changes her life because she is tired of the government shaping her life and decides to go against the law and not be treated wrong by a unfair system. If the killing of her friend didn't happen Marji would still be living following all the unfair rules without any fight..

- My Freshman year of highschool a group of my friends had asked me if I wanted to go to YMCA even though I wasn't allowed to but I didnt want to seem like a chicken so I still went breaking the rules. This impacted my life because it made me feel like I was grown and I started to disobey alot of rules my parents would give me. If I hadn't disobeyed my parents my life would be different I would obey my parents better. Compared to Marji we both broke the rules to impress our friends.
- I was talked about because I wrestled and at first I was fazed by it but eventually I stopped caring and started to take pride in everything I did, this event changed my life because I at first let others opinions alter the things I love doing, but after a while I took pride in everything I did. If this event would have never happen I wouldn't have done the things I love doing with pride and I would be fazed by others opinions. Compared to Marji we let the hate of other people motivate us to be proud of who we are and what we do.
- A young man was killed because of police brutality, my family and I decided to protest to fight a unfair system of police killing young black people for no reason . This event changed my life because I realized the best way to get a point across was to protest or fight against a unfair system. If this event never happened I wouldn't be as vocal but more passive when something is unfair. Compared to Marji We both rebelled in someway to unfair system.
