Storyboard Text

  • The metamorphic rock starts out as solid in the volcano and then melts into magma while still in the volcano.
  • once the magma then exits the volcano it cools and hardens and turns into extrusive Igneous rocks.
  • Pressure
  • The igneous rocks then get weathered through rain and eroded down through methods such as biological erosion into sediments which are then deposed into the earth.

  • Over time, the sediments will eventually compact together under the surface and form a sedimentary rock.
  • After these sedimentary rocks go through extreme heat and pressure while underground they will for another metamorphic rock and the cycle will restart
  • HEAT
