Storyboard Text

  • The Birds of Stymphilian Lake were a group of monstrous birds who devoured humans. They had beaks made of bronze and sharp, metallic feathers.
  • They were created by Ares, but always hunted by wolves.
  • King Eursytheus gave Hercules his sixth task which was to kill the birds in hopes that he'd fail.
  • Hercules used a rattle to frighten the birds.
  • He then shot at the birds with arrows he had dipped in poisonous blood of Hydra.
  • The remaining birds left Arcadia and went to an island in the Euxine Sea.
