Storyboard Text
Millions of years ago, dead plants fall into rivers and swamps
The dead plants accumulate at the bottom of the swamp and are acted on by the heat and pressure which condense the plant matter.
The plant matter forms coal far underground
To get coal, it needs to be mined. In the olden days, coal was mined manually, however now, due to health hazards, it is mined by machine.
And that is how you get coal, which you use for energy, fuel and vital components in the steel and concrete industry.
Coal is used for many things including barbecues, fires and for making crystals.
