  • So, I'll gave you 15 minutes to research and brainstorm about the different types of the blood vessels and their function.
  • CIRCULATORY SYSTEM-BLOOD VESSELS
  • Mine is the capillary
  • Capillaries connect the arteries to veins.
  • I will talk about the artery and its main function
  • Artery carry oxygenated blood away from the heart
  • Veins carry the blood back to the heart.
  • And mine will be the veins, right now we'll just share our thoughts about the type that we'll share
  • Arteries carry oxygenated blood away fro the heart. Smooth interior layer of ephitelial cells that allows blood to flow easily. Arteries also contain a strong muscular middle layer that helps pump blood through the vein.
  • Veins carry the blood back to the heart. they're similar to arteries but not as strong or thick. Unlike arteries. Veins contain valves that ensure blood flows in only one direction.
  • Capillaries connect the arteries to the veins. The arteries deliver the oxygen-rich blood to the capillaries where the actual exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide occurs. the capillaries then deliver the waste-rich blood to the veins for transport back to the lungs and heart.
