Storyboard Text

  • Scene 1
  • The servants from Montague and From Capulet were starting a quarrel and fighting until Prince Escalus came to stop all the fights.
  • My naked weapon is out. Quarrel! I will back thee
  • Throw your mistemper'd weapons to the ground, and hear the sentence of your moved prince.
  • Scene 2
  • One of Capulets servants invited Romeo and Benvolio to go to a party at Capulets house thinking they weren't a Montague. They decided to go.
  • Now I'll tell you without asking. My Master is the great Capulet; and if you be not at the house of Montagues, I pray, come and crush a cup of wine. Rest you Merry!
  • Lady Capulet is trying to get Juliet to like Paris. Juliet hasn't met Paris yet so she isn't going to promise her mother that will like him and marry him in the future but she will look at him with the intention of liking him.
  • Scene 3
  • Speak Briefly, can you like of Paris' Love?
  • I'll look to like, if looking liking move,; But no more deep will I endart mine eye Than your consent gives strength to make it fly
  • Scene 4
  • Romeo, Benvolio, and Mercutio are discussing what they are going to do when they arrive at Capulets Party. Mercutio and Benvolio really want Romeo to dance for he can blend in the crowd, but Romeo is refusing to dance.
  • Nay, gentle Romeo, we must have you dance.
  • Give me a torch. I am not for this ambling.
  • Scene 5
  • Tybalt overhears Romeos voice and immediately knows there is a Montague at the party. He is furious so he tells Capulet for Capulet can kick him out. Capulet ends up not caring and wants him to stay and Tybalt is mad at the decision.
  • He shall be endur'd. What, goodman boy! I say he shall;go to!
  • When such a villain is a guest. I will not endure him.
  • Romeo and Juliet meat at the party and they instantly have a connection. Romeo kisses Juliet twice. They both love each other but they are sad that their families are enemies.
  • Scene 5
  • Thus from my lips, by thine, my sin is purg'd
  • Then have my lips the sin that they have took.
