Regarding political incluence, the governemnt of Canada holds constitutional control over who gets to immigrate, how long they stay and when they can become a citizen. Not only does the governemnt hold the power over the individual, but their additional presence allows for an increased voter turnout for political elections. This helps for the government to prosper, while being able to influence new minorities to understand their views. This can mostly be used when the immigrants come from a dictorial, oligarchy or communist government structure.Since the Canadian Governmnet holds the right to permit citizens, it also includes the right to revoke citizenship. This status casn be striped when the governmnet is hanldling immigration issues such as illigeal immigration. Although the result of these measures are not usually used, it is due to the government's right protocol for welcoming newcomes into Canada. This is proved by Canada's plan to increase the populatuion by 1.2% as of 2024 and 2025, by introducing 485 000 new permanent residents. Demostrating these plans, prove the governments organization with Immigration policies.
Wow, I never realised there were so many factors that shaped Canada's Immigration policy. On a personal level, what do you consider to be the most immportant?
Thats a tough question. When I think of immigration, I immediatly think of the current issues happening in the world right now, and why others would seek the shelter of Canada. For that reason, I belive hat security is the most important when regarding immigration as a whole. For my own personal opinion, I would see economic benefit as the most important. Not only would immigration to Canada, allow for a better economic position with my education, I also belive it benifits the general public.
